Nurse Psychotherapist Mentoring, Clinical Consultation & Practice Support (Ontario)
One-on-one mentoring and clinical consultation for Nurses who are entering the field of Nurse Psychotherapy in Ontario or who are in the early stages of developing their Nurse Psychotherapy practice. This service is intended for Nurses who have completed, or are actively pursuing, additional education and training in psychotherapy and are looking to strengthen their clinical skills and professional confidence.
These virtual sessions provide flexible, supportive, and practice-informed guidance when you need it. You may be looking for help with clinical decision-making, integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches, refining boundaries and documentation, or developing your therapeutic presence.
Support is also available for Nurses who are starting or growing a psychotherapy private practice. This can include guidance on setting up your practice, navigating billing and fees, and connecting with extended health benefit providers.
Sessions are available on an as-needed basis, offering a flexible alternative to traditional peer supervision for Nurse Psychotherapists. You can schedule support when questions arise or when you would benefit from focused feedback on your clinical work or practice development.
This service supports ongoing professional development and aligns with the expectations of the College of Nurses of Ontario related to continuous learning, reflective practice, and maintaining competence.
Sessions are 60 minutes in length and offered virtually.
Please note that this service provides mentoring and clinical consultation only. It does not constitute legal advice, formal supervision, or certification. It is the responsibility of each Nurse to determine their own scope of practice, level of competence, and readiness to provide psychotherapy in accordance with CNO standards. Nurses are expected to have appropriate education and training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities as part of their independent professional development.
Any discussion of client cases must follow applicable privacy and confidentiality standards. Additional details are outlined in the service agreement.
Please request a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet call so you can ask questions and decide if this mentoring and consultation service is a good fit for your needs.
